Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Neuro

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to patients in a 20-bed Neuro ICU setting at a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Levophed, phenylephrine, Versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, and vasopressin
• Care for patients with complex neurological diagnoses including stroke, head bleeds, EVD/ventriculostomy management, dialysis, and neuro disorders requiring critical care
• Collaborate with an in-house intensivist (daytime), on-call intensivist (nights), and 24/7 APP and respiratory therapy coverage
• Work within a preference and block scheduling model, including required weekend, Friday, Monday, and holiday shifts as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated ICU and critical care nursing experience
• Ability to titrate drips independently per unit protocol
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemption requests considered on a case-by-case basis)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neuro ICU or neurocritical care environment
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula
• Experience working alongside monitor technicians and interpreting telemetry in a critical care setting
