Assistant Principal

Watauga County Schools

Assistant Principal at the high school level. Under the direction of the principal, this individual serves as an educational leader and assists the principal in the planning, coordination, and directing of student activities and programs related to the administration of the school.


Master's degree required. Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience required. Must hold or be able to obtain North Carolina Professional Educator's Certificate in the area of 00012 - School Administrator: Prinicpal prior to employment.


Eleven (11) month position. State Salary Scale based on experience with full benefits. Position begins August 1, 2026.
