POST NUMBER: 304377Greenwood Village, CO, US On-siteConstructionVice President of FinanceOur client, a residential real estate development company, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee the accounting, financial planning, and treasury functions for a growing regional division. Location:This role is on-site five days per week in the Denver metropolitan area.Job Description: This highly visible leadership role will serve as a strategic partner to divisional leadership, providing financial guidance on business planning, operational performance, capital allocation, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge with strong financial leadership, operational insight, and the ability to develop a high-performing accounting team.Responsibilities:Oversee divisional accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, general ledger activities, treasury, and cash managementLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and review financial statements, journal entries, forecasts, and variance analysesServe as a strategic finance partner to divisional leadership on business planning, capital allocation, operational performance, and growth initiativesLead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning activities for the divisionAnalyze revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, and investment returns to identify risks and opportunities for improved performancePartner with development and operations teams on project budgets, financial projections, and investment decisionsCoordinate with corporate finance teams on reporting standards, financing needs, covenant compliance, and capital requirementsOversee internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with U.S. GAAPImprove financial systems, reporting processes, and operational procedures to increase accuracy, visibility, and efficiencyManage, mentor, and develop members of the divisional accounting and finance teamRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant experience in residential development, homebuilding, or a related real estate environmentProven experience leading accounting and finance functions for a division, business unit, or comparable operationStrong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, operational analysis, and U.S. GAAPDemonstrated team leadership, executive communication, and business-partnering skills, with the ability to influence operational and strategic decisionsCompensation:Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training;Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
