Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company , is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer , you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Production, Maintenance, and Automation Teams . The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay Range: $45-$55/hour (Depending on Experience)

What's the Job?

• Provide production line support for controls logic, PLC, and NC programming using Siemens-based hardware platforms.

• Design, implement, and maintain control systems for industrial equipment and automated processes.

• Troubleshoot, test, and debug PLC, CNC, and HMI systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate automation solutions.

• Support continuous improvement projects focused on production throughput, equipment reliability, and KPI achievement.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing environments.

• Strong experience with PLC programming, preferably Siemens platforms.

• Knowledge of HMI systems, industrial communication networks, and electrical schematics.

• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and industrial control systems.
