Charge Entry Specialist

*Charge Entry Specialist (Remote)* 100% Remote
Pay: $20/hour (Contract - 12 months)
Schedule: Full-time after training (7 AM - 5 PM MST)
*About the Role* We are seeking a highly detail-oriented *Charge Entry Specialist* to support a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a *data-heavy, structured environment* and enjoys working with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
You'll play a critical role in supporting *charge entry and claims submission processes* by validating and managing data that directly impacts patient care and operational success.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform high-volume *data entry and data validation*
* Create and maintain *weekly and monthly reports*
* Identify and resolve *data discrepancies and gaps*
* Manipulate large datasets (30,000+ rows) in Excel
* Combine, match, and reconcile data across multiple systems
* Use formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot tables to analyze data
* Build and maintain consistent reporting processes
* Support claims submission through accurate data preparation
* Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues independently
*Required Qualifications*
* Strong experience in *data entry, administrative, or clerical work*
* Advanced proficiency in *Microsoft Excel* (formulas, pivot tables, data matching, formatting)
* Ability to take *raw datasets and independently structure and clean data*
* Strong typing skills (*60+ WPM with high accuracy*)
* Exceptional *attention to detail* and process adherence
* Comfortable working with *high-volume, repetitive tasks*
* Ability to work across *multiple systems simultaneously*
* Tech-savvy with strong remote work capabilities
*Excel assessment required (must score 94% or higher)*
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in *charge entry, billing, or claims processing*
* Background in healthcare or revenue cycle management
* Familiarity with data migration and reconciliation processes
*Work Environment & Requirements*
* 100% remote (optional Denver office access)
* Must have a *private, HIPAA-compliant workspace*
* Must provide:
* Dual monitors
* Mac-compatible keyboard and mouse

* Training: ~4 weeks (starting at 8 AM MST, part-time)
