Civil Construction Project Manger

Job Description

A reputable heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager with a background in infrastructure projects such as site developement and utility projects. This role oversees projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met. Position is base in Lynchburg, VA.

Background Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
  
  
• Experience with wet utilities (water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer)
  
  
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
  
  
• Understanding of cost tracking, estimating, and job costing
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent field experience considered)
  
  
• OSHA 30 preferred
  
  
• Strong leadership and communication skills
