The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in DeWitt that are seeking Finishing Supervisors. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all finishing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
- Train and mentor finishing personnel on equipment operation and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols within the finishing department.
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions for non-conformance.
- Optimize workflow and equipment utilization to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on finishing activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth material flow and production handoffs.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finishing processes (e.g., painting, polishing, assembly).
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience with automated finishing equipment
- Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling software
