Full Time or PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Weekends

Overview Full Time or PRN Weekend Hospice RN On Call Interim HealthCare Hospice is hiring a compassionate Hospice RN for weekend support starting Friday at 5:30pm until Monday at 8:30am. You will be the face of courage and a source of support for patients and their families during this season of life. Interim HealthCare is the nation’s first home care company and a leading employer of Registered Nurses. Responsibilities Provide hospice patient care during weekends, as needs arise for our patients. Enable patients to spend quality time with loved ones and participate in activities. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, LPN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care. Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, and administer prescribed medications and treatments. Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies. Educate family on the patient’s prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals. Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family.
