Welding experience is required for this position. May sponsor the Texas High School Welding Series team, if assigned by administration. If not Texas certified, candidates considered may possessa combination of: Professional work experience; Formal training and education; Relevant industry licensure, certification, or registration; and/or any combination of work experience, training and education, or industry credentials related to the subject matter he/she will be teaching. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Frequent walking Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment Environment: Shop/lab environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and machinery. Work inside, may work inside and outside; regular exposure to noise. Requires strict adherence to PPE and safety procedures.
