CNC Operator II - 2nd Shift

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator II to operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled. Job Type Full-time Key Responsibilities Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices Operates hand‑held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools Operates lift equipment as needed Uses precision measuring tools as required Recognizes various material types used in the department and adjusts equipment if needed Recognizes worn tooling and changes the machine as required Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in‑process or carbon copy production sheets Proficiently sets up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials; verifies machine settings and program parameters for accuracy Preferred Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Operator with at least 2–3 years of experience in CNC machining operations Proficient in machine set‑up, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments; knowledge of G‑code programming is a plus Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work Solid problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Education Highschool Diploma Location Onsite Schedule M-F; 3:00pm - 11:30pm Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
