CNC Set Up Technician

Job Title: CNC Set Up Technician

Location: Fort Wayne, IN, 46818

Duration: 06 Months

Work Schedule: Sunday night through Friday morning (11:00pm-7:30am)

Job Description:

  • Responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, updating tool paths and completing set ups for CNC Lathes in a high volume production environment.
  • Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching and Part Finishing machining processes.
  • Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points. Knowledge of Nachi robot controls.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of lathe tooling/programming.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of CNC lathe setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Interpreting G and M codes. Machine set-ups and changeovers on CNC Lathes.
  • Troubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques as they occur
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators. High School Diploma/GED
