Northpointe Animal Hospital Externship The Northpointe Animal Hospital in Lynnwood, WA is a well‑established site providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. The facility offers state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including a dental x‑ray machine, laser therapy, ultrasound, and a dental delivery machine, and has recently completed a renovation. 4 surgery days per week Expanding dentistry services State‑of‑the‑art equipment including dental x‑ray machine, laser therapy, ultrasound, and dental delivery machine Responsibilities Gather patient histories Perform physical examinations Create treatment plans Conduct diagnostics Assist in or perform dentistry services Observe or assist in surgical procedures Manage patients medically Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients Qualifications 3rd or 4th year veterinary student Enrolled in the clinical portion of the veterinary education program Eligible for a travel/living expense stipend of $1,500 Stipend and Working Hours Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules.
