Carpenter PositionArcher Western Construction, LLC is currently seeking a Carpenter for the TCTX, Charenton Floodgate Replacement, in Jeanerette, LA. The Carpenter constructs, erects, installs structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.Our employees are built to succeed. We are dedicated to career advancement by rewarding hard work and initiative.Join the team that is building the infrastructure where you work and live!ResponsibilitiesMeasures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down workPrepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridge, drain structures, walls, and additional structuresMay assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed)Uses carpenter's belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machineryQualifications3-5 Years Verifiable Experience PreferredRequires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladderMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditionsRequires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properlyPossess a strong work ethic and desire to learnRequires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periodsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screeningThe Walsh Group, Ltd.
