Donor Center Phlebotomist

Job Description Paid training provided. No prior medical experience required. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Watch a short video: rdcrss.org/lifesavingrole Key Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand how impactful their donation is. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable returning again and again. Be detail‑oriented all day, every day, ensuring that the blood collected meets goals, regulatory requirements, and can be safely transfused. Standard Schedule 4 x 10 hour shifts per week Rotating weekends and holidays Variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays Schedule provided two to three weeks in advance Pay Information Starting rate $21.42 per hour Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree or a combination of education and work experience is required. Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting is required. A current valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods, and adapt to long irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
