System Support Associate - AZ - On Site

The System Support Associate is responsible for implementing, modifying, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) file feeds that support critical healthcare data exchanges. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, a solid understanding of U.S. healthcare EDI standards, and strict adherence to HIPAA compliance requirements. The associate will work as part of a technical team to integrate secure data feeds, ensure data integrity, and support ongoing system operations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and modify EDI file feeds to support business and operational needs
• Develop, maintain, and support EDI integrations using programming languages
• Create, manage, and support secure data transfer connections using SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
• Gathers specifications from the clients, carriers & vendors and delivers the solution that meets the needs presented
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and US healthcare industry standards while managing sensitive patient data.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to support data exchange requirements
• Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of new or modified EDI feeds
• Maintain technical documentation, process flows, and support procedures
• Support audits and compliance reviews by providing technical documentation and system insight
• Regular on-site attendance is an essential job function due to the need for secure access to systems, collaboration on sensitive technical matters, participation in operational meetings, and hands-on involvement

• Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and all other company team members ensuring effective coordination of communications and services affecting clients.
• Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices related to the company and department.
• Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Strong proficiency in C#, Java, Python, and SQL for developing, enhancing, and maintaining EDI integrations.
• Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) connections.
• Solid understanding of U.S. healthcare and benefits administration, including FSA, HSA, COBRA, 401(k), 403(b), Roth, and related benefit programs.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and security standards within the U.S. healthcare industry.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs).
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of demonstrated experience implementing and supporting EDI, carrier, and vendor file feeds
• Experience working in a multi-state or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed
