Life Enrichment Assistant Are you creative, energetic, and passionate about bringing joy and meaningful experiences to older adults? Auburn Manor is hiring multiple Life Enrichment Assistants to join our team! These benefit-eligible positions offer 3040 hours per week and a great benefits package. One of the positions will be specifically focused on creating engaging, person-centered programs for our Memory Care residents. We would love to meet candidates with experience or education in art, music, recreation therapy, or memory care, although this is preferred, a willingness to learn and obtain the knowledge would also be a plus. Responsibilities: Plan, organize, conduct, and promote recreational activities within and/or outside the Center, which includes crafts, entertainment, trips, and regular social events. Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with residents and family members / personal representatives. Responsible for maintaining a positive image of Auburn Homes in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values. Interact with residents on a daily basis to identify their social, recreational needs and interests. Provides management of the wellness center and coordinates wellness programs across the campus. Responsible for the purchasing of necessary supplies. Coordinate annual events and/or special events. Will support Life Enrichment Director in recruitment, training, retention and management of volunteers. Function effectively with other service agencies to provide different program opportunities or services Gather information and prepare articles for the monthly newsletter. Performs other similar duties, as needed. Requirements: Commitment to quality programs and services for all patients. Excellent communications and human relation skills. Ability to relate well to the patients, families, staff, churches and the community in general. Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information. Ability to exercise independent judgement, make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed. Courteous and tactful. Ability to work independently. Reliability and flexibility in scheduling. Ability to establish rapport with residents. Ability to tolerate interruptions. Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to read, write, add, and subtract. Ability to lead large and small group activities and get involved, i.e. wear costumes, use props, etc. Ability to document care and services, formulate goals and care plans. Ability to organize and work effectively with others. Ability to walk, stand or push wheelchairs for long periods. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and twist. Ability to set up and take down tables and chairs. Ability to load and unload wheelchairs from a vehicle. Free of police record related to misappropriation, abuse or other offenses prohibited by law. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Ability to efficiently utilize common word processing, electronic calendars, email and other required CPU programs.
