Machine Operator

Description: 

Operate light-duty machine tools and equipment, complete machine setup and adjustments, maintain equipment, inspect work using prescribed measurement devices, and monitor quality according to established control procedures.

*Contract - 12 Months
*Weekend Shift, Thursday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
*$18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

#Education & Job Requirements

*1 - 2 years of experience with attention to detail, communication skills, and basic computer skills
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Preferred Skills

*1 - 2 years of experience with SAP
*1 - 2 years of experience with visual acuity in working with microscopes

#Job Duties & Functions

*Operate light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment, including small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, and saws
*Set up machining machines and make adjustments as needed
*Maintain machines and equipment
*Check completed work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances
*Operate numerically controlled machines when applicable
*Monitor and verify quality according to statistical process or other control procedures
