CDL A Driver

Job Description

The CDL A Driver will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of general freight using semi-trailer trucks and triaxle dump trucks on local routes. This role involves route planning, vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to guarantee on-time deliveries. The driver will primarily handle dry van, flat bed, tipper trailer, and walking floor cargo.

Responsibilities

Plan and navigate local routes efficiently
Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
Adhere to safety and DOT compliance standards during all operations
Transport cargo including general freight, dry van, flat bed, tipper trailer, and walking floor loads
Operate semi-trailer trucks and triaxle dump trucks safely
Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
Valid DOT Medical Card

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in commercial vehicle operation
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
Strong time management and communication skills
Attention to detail in vehicle handling and documentation
Proficiency in manual and automatic transmissions
