Surgical Technologist – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Shift: Days
Assignment Details
Contract Length: Approximately 3 months
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of perioperative/CVOR experience
Required specialty experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgery
Heart transplant experience highly preferred
Required certifications: CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA
Basic mandatory: BLS
Experience with Epic charting system preferred
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in surgical procedures within the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring the sterile field is maintained.
Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments for procedures.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Monitor patients' status and assist with various procedures in accordance with established protocols.
Ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards of care.
Compliance / Notes
Must complete the privileging process prior to start, approximately 120 days from signature.
Pre-application fee required for privileging.
RTO: Max 7 days; pre-approved time off limited to one occurrence.
Orientation is non-billable.
