Associate Director, Assistant General Counsel

Maravai LifeSciences seeks an Associate Director, Assistant General Counsel to handle commercial and licensing transactions across its portfolio. The role involves advising business development teams, negotiating IP-focused agreements, and supporting contract lifecycle management while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as key attorney for commercial and licensing transactions across Maravai portfolio
- Advise commercial and business development teams on transaction alignment and compliance
- Develop and maintain standard agreement forms and negotiating frameworks
- Negotiate in-licensing, out-licensing, supply, distribution, and collaboration agreements
- Support contract lifecycle management software and processes
Requirements
- Law firm experience advising on commercial and IP licensing transactions
- Expertise in balancing legal and business considerations in complex deals
- Strong judgment, business acumen, and technical legal skills
- Experience with contract lifecycle management and standard agreement development
- Knowledge of antitrust, confidentiality, regulatory, and IP provisions
