Information Technology Specialist

Summary of Job Function: Responsible for supporting network and systems, updating system hardware and software, troubleshooting system errors, and assisting team members in supporting all data security and optimization.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Manage, troubleshoot and upgrade computer systems to meet performance and security needs2. Repairs, troubleshoots, and installs network hardware and data cables3. Help manage and maintain security camera systems throughout the agency4. Administer usernames and passwords for domain access, email, other network resources5. Assist in administration and maintenance of all domain based servers6. Assist with administration of server backup routines and Disaster Recovery procedures7. Maintain Active Directory user accounts, security groups and computer objects8. Administers and maintains all domain workstations throughout their lifecycles9. Create and maintain workstation images for efficient workstation deployments10. Install additional hardware and software based on departmental need11. Verify application compatibility with current operating system(s)12. IP phone and telecommunication administration (e.g. extensions, display names, voicemail, etc.)13. Create, troubleshoot and repair network printers/copiers14. Assist in maintaining system and data security per HIPAA/HI-TECH regulations15. Lead computer usage training for new hire orientation 16. Cover helpdesk to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve user issues17. Maintain a thorough understanding of core network technologies including, but not limited to, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security18. Track and maintain technology inventory (e.g. workstations, tablets, servers, cell phones, etc.)19. Track and maintain software licensing20. All other duties as assignedJob Specifications:1. Education, Certification/License, and/or Experiencea. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.b. Drivers license and reliable transportation is required.c. Obtain and maintain CPR/FA and CPI certifications.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and circumference.
