About the role: As our Payroll Manager, North America , you’ll lead payroll operations for employees across the United States and Canada, ensuring every payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant. You’ll oversee payroll processes and systems, partner with teams across the organization to continuously improve how we work and manage key vendor relationships. You’ll also play a critical role in payroll tax reporting and compliance, helping ensure we stay ahead of evolving federal, state, provincial, and local requirements. What you'll get to do: Own payroll from start to finish for employees across the U.S. and Canada, leading accurate and timely biweekly payroll processing in Dayforce Be our go-to payroll expert, staying ahead of U.S. and Canadian payroll laws, tax regulations, and best practices to keep us compliant and ready for change Make payroll better and smarter by streamlining processes, strengthening controls, improving accuracy, and finding new ways to get the most out of Dayforce Create a great employee experience through clear payroll communications, manager training, responsive support, and well-designed policies and processes that make payroll easier for everyone Play a key role in our growth leading payroll integrations for newly acquired companies and creating a smooth transition for incoming employees Oversee payroll audits, tax filings, reconciliations, year-end reporting, garnishments, time and attendance, and other critical payroll activities Partner across the business with our People and Finance teams on compensation changes, leaves, severance, accounting reconciliations, reporting, audits, and month- and year-end close Lead and develop our payroll team, providing guidance, mentorship, and clear expectations while building a collaborative, accountable, and cross-trained function Own our payroll partnerships working with vendors and tax agencies to resolve issues, manage system updates, meet deadlines, and support evolving business needs The kind of teammate we’re looking for: 7+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state U.S. and Canadian payroll; Dayforce experience is a huge plus Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements; CPP certification preferred Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across People, Finance, Legal, and external partners High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information What's in it for you: Competitive compensation and total rewards package including comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance as well as company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance Healthy work-life balance: hybrid work structure , paid time off, Paid Parental Leave, tuition reimbursement and more Employee equity and referral programs: when we succeed, you succeed!
