Our goal is to create an environment where innovation thrives, with office-based teams coming together four days a week to collaborate and thrive, together!Position DescriptionThe Systems Administrator III is a senior-level technical role responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This position plays a key role in critical incident resolution, infrastructure modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to deep technical expertise, the System Administrator III serves as a mentor and technical leader, supporting the growth and development of junior administrators and contributing to the adoption of modern cloud technologies and best practices.Essential Responsibilities and DutiesProvide technical leadership and serve as escalation point for critical incidents, including resolution and post-incident analysisDesign, implement, and maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructureAct as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms and lead infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and improvement initiativesMonitor system health, respond to alerts, and proactively identify risks and opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiencyDesign, support, and enhance modern cloud services including Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, and security platformsApply automation and scripting to improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiencyCollaborate with project managers, security, application teams, and business stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs, security, and budgetDevelop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and documentationMentor and coach junior and mid-level system administrators; support onboarding, skill development, and knowledge sharing across the teamParticipate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as requiredEducation and/or ExperienceAcceptable equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification; Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, or equivalent7+ years’ experience in administrating and managing enterprise server systems including cloud and/or virtual solutionsStrong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology, including operating systems, expertise with Server operating systems and services including Windows 2008/2012/2016, DNS, Active Directory, and PowerShell, experience with O365, Exchange Online, Azure and Intune and basic understanding of networking protocols and processesWhy Work For Flynn?Flynn Group offers a variety of benefits and perks to encourage and empower our employees.
