Apply now and start your adventure with us!/ppResponsibilities Expectations: As a Sr Field Service Technician in our IPS PowerServe division, you will perform testing and maintenance on low, medium and high voltage power distribution equipment for our commercial and industrial clients, as well as assist with leading teams in the field. We are NETA accredited and perform testing under NETA standards to ensure reliability, safety and efficiency. Currently hiring NETA III to lead teams in the field./pulliTesting and Calibrations:/liulliInstrument Transformer/liliPower Transformer testing Doble, Insulation Resistance, Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR)/liliCable testing including Power Factor, Tan Delta, VLF, Hipot/liliCircuit breaker Switchgear testing of low, medium high voltage/liliPrimary Secondary Injection Testing/liliProtective Relay testing including electro-mechanical and solid state/liliContinuity, Ground Fault/liliPower Quality/li/ulliTroubleshooting, inspecting, start-ups and collect data on: switchgear, circuit breakers, cables, transformers, protective relays, VFDs, ATS/liliService Repair: Inspections, diagnosis of issues, replace parts, make recommendations, recommissioning/liliSafety: adhere to all safety protocols including LOTO/liliTeamwork: contributes to a strong team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goals/li/ululliCustomer Service: communicate all information to customers in a way they understand the issues resolutions/li/ululliDocumentation: complete reports on the work you have completed/li/ulpDont have all these skills yetno worries as we have a successful training program to get you the training and certifications you need. However, you will need the below qualifications and competencies./pulliAssociate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power, or similar experience/training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee) preferred/liliMust have 5 or more years of relevant testing experience/liliRTS or Protest relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, automatic transfer switching, performing start-up on switchgear up through 500kV class, VFD (variable frequency drives)/liliNETA Certification (III or IV) highly preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified/liliPrefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training/liliPower DB experience a plus/liliRequires 3+ years of driving experience along with a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record/liliGood communication and customer service skills/liliAbility to read and interpret schematics, operating manuals and safety guidelines/liliAbility to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as required, willingness to be on call/li/ulpYoull thrive at IPS if you/pulliLead with integrity and prioritize safety.
