Apply now and start your adventure with us!/ppResponsibilities Expectations: IPS is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician specializing in medium voltage cable termination to join our growing team. This role is responsible for terminating, splicing, and testing medium voltage cables, as well as performing related field service work for our customers./pulliTerminate and splice medium voltage cables ranging from 5kV to 35kV, including Jacketed Concentric Neutral (JCN) and Tapeshield types./liliPerform testing on medium voltage cables using equipment such as Fluke multimeters, Megohm meters, and VLF high potential test sets./lili(Preferred) Locate cable faults using industry-standard methods and equipment./lili(Preferred) Test utility transformers and switchgear./liliTravel to job sites as required, sometimes on short notice./liliProvide own basic hand tools; IPS will supply all specialty tools needed for the job./liliFollow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and customer requirements./li/ulpQualifications and Competencies:/pulliMinimum 3 years of electrical construction and/or service work experience preferred./liliExperience with cable fault locating and transformer/switchgear testing a plus, but not required to start./liliAbility and willingness to travel./liliStrong attention to detail and adherence to safety practices./liliMust have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted drivers license./li/ulpYoull thrive at IPS if you/pulliLead with integrity and prioritize safety.
