About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their team, specializing in third-party insurance defense litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a full caseload independently, from the inception to the resolution of a variety of matters, including general liability, construction defect, premises liability, trucking and transportation, product liability, and other civil defense issues. This role demands a professional with a minimum of 8 years' of civil defense litigation experience, a strong background in third-party insurance defense, and a proven track record in handling high-exposure cases. Key responsibilities for the Senior Counsel include drafting pleadings, motions, and legal strategies, taking and defending depositions, attending hearings, mediations, and court appearances, and maintaining direct communication with clients and carriers. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills, and be comfortable managing files independently in a fast-paced environment. Trial experience or a keen interest in trial work is a plus, and the role requires a candidate who is adept at preparing cases for trial as needed.
