We're seeking an experienced and passionate educator to provide specialized instruction for K-2 students. This contract role is designed for someone committed to nurturing young minds and contributing to their academic growth in a positive environment.

In this role, you'll focus on a manageable caseload of about 24 students, offering targeted pull-out reading support and integrated push-in math instruction. Hours are flexible—choose between approximately 25 hours per week or a four-day, 20-hour work week, starting August 17. You'll work closely with students, teachers, and families to drive educational success and support the broader goals of the program.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina EC (Exceptional Children) teaching license
• Prior experience in special education, particularly K-2
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Familiarity with ECATS system and special education documentation
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate pull-out sessions for reading and push-in support for math
• Complete timely progress reports every five weeks
• Manage new referrals and contribute to eligibility assessments
• Ensure accurate and thorough paperwork in the ECATS system
• Collaborate with staff and families to promote student achievement
