The Vice President, Innovation is responsible for driving practical, scalable innovation across Raymond James Investment Management, with a focus on technology-enabled capabilities, artificial intelligence, and strategic partnerships. This role serves as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring innovation efforts deliver measurable value. The position emphasizes execution, governance, adoption, and change management - translating emerging capabilities into durable solutions that improve investment processes, operational workflows, sales effectiveness, and client outcomes.
Responsibilities include defining and executing a firmwide innovation strategy aligned with RJIM's business priorities, operating model, and regulatory obligations. The role also involves leading the responsible implementation of artificial intelligence and data-enabled capabilities across investment, operational, and client-facing functions.
Knowledge of investment management products, platforms, and operating workflows is required, along with artificial intelligence concepts, capabilities, limitations, and governance considerations. Skills in executive communication, facilitation, and change management are essential, as well as the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.
Educational/previous experience requirements include a bachelor's degree required, 10+ years of experience in financial services, asset management, wealth management, or a related regulated industry, and demonstrated senior-level leadership experience driving cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.
The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, and may include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions. This position is eligible for a benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision; life insurance; critical illness insurance and accident insurance; disability benefits; retirement savings; paid time off (including vacation, holidays, and sick leave); and parental leave.
