As a graphic designer and a prepress specialist at AlphaGraphics, you will be using the latest printing technology to help our clients effectively create and produce brochures, newsletters, marketing materials, business cards, catalogs, high-quality banners and signage, mailing campaigns, and much more!BenefitsHealth, Dental & VisionPaid Vacation & HolidaysWeekends OffCareer DevelopmentsSome of your responsibilities will include:Preflight and fix customer files, setup and impose, rip to all offset and digital presses and printersMaintain shop standard pdf workflow (Adobe plugins), schedule work, establish priorities, and complete all jobs promptlyPerform all work required for printing all paper projects using digital presses, including design, file preparation, machine preparation, and maintenancePerform all work required for printing all banner and signage products, including design, file preparation, machine preparation, and maintenanceCreate files for all variable data print projects, using Fusion Pro or other software packagesDevelop and maintain shop color management systems – setup / maintain color profiles, calibrate monitors and printers as neededHelp maintain customer online ordering websites and manage workflow for orders from those sites, including downloading files, imposing, ripping to printPerform database management and preparation work required for Mailing Services projectsCreate artwork files for print, using color, type, illustration, photography, and other design techniquesActively communicate with the client to understand and deliver design material to their satisfactionCommunicate courteously with clients either by phone, email, or at the front counter to take a job order or clarify the scope of a projectAssist with the installation of signage projectsPrepare products for shipping or deliver projects to customerQualifications We Are Looking For:Excellent project and time management skills, ability to prioritize workflowAbility to communicate ideas visually, orally, and in writing to coworkers and clientsProblem-solving skills with the ability to use available resources to solve issuesConsistent attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong understanding of Pantone, CMYK, and RGB color spacesSelf-disciplined and organizedAble to function well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentCan manage multiple projects at a time, work efficiently under pressureKnowledge of Prepress concepts such as imposition, color separation, preflight, and PDF workflowMust be proficient in both MAC & PCAdobe Creative Suite experience requiredFamiliarity with Microsoft Word and Excel requiredKnowledge of Enfocus PitStop Pro, Quite Imposing, Fusion Pro, and Acrobat preferred3-5 years of Print production design and/or prepress experience MUSTIf you are intrigued by this opportunity and want your chance; here it is.
