Radiation Therapist - Oncology - Days

Hourly Pay Range: $37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position : Radiation Therapist, Oncology

• Location : Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL

• Full Time | 40 hours/week

• Hours : Monday-Friday, starting at 7:30am - 4:00pm, no weekend or holidays, on call once every 2 months

• Required Travel : Swedish, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospital as needed

What you will do:

• ???????Simulates treatment set-ups, performs dosimetric calculation, and accurately delivers ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist while working under general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology.

• Assists in patient care and management.

• Adheres to clinical, technical and operational policies and procedures.

What you will need:

• Education : Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, required .

• Certification : At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology Therapy) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within one year of start date into position.

• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association, required .

• License : IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure, required .

• Experience : previous experience with Varian equipment and previous experience with ARIA EMR, preferred .
