As a Armed Security Officer - Healthcare in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. *Must have at least 3 years of either military, law enforcement, corrections or armed security experience*

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, resident, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
