Commissary Expediter

The Basics

• 5 days/week on site. 
• Reports to Commissary Manager
• Hourly $18-20

The Role

The Commissary Expediter will be an integral member of our catering & commissary kitchen, responsible for all aspects of expediting our line, packing food, making drinks, and ensuring orders exit our kitchen in a timely manner. This is a position for a highly organized person who will care deeply about the quality of food and beverages we produce and make sure our customers have a great delivery and catering experience every time. This role is not customer facing, though you will interact with guests digitally, especially to solve any issues with orders. We expect this to be a full time role, with part time available and up for discussion. 

What You'll Do

• Expedite the kitchen line, controlling quality, consistency, and speed of orders. 
• Pack all food in proper containers for delivery and larger catering orders. 
• Ensure orders are finished, packed, and sent out expeditiously and correctly. 
• Communicate with Sous Chef and Commissary manager about catering orders, inventory, and any issues with kitchen efficiency or quality. 
• Keep an organized and cleanly work station at all times, especially during set-up in the morning and break-down in the evening. 
• Prepare drink orders (coffee, matcha, etc) quickly and accurately. 

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant, expediting or a similar high-volume service role. Minimum 1 year of experience. Barista experience a plus. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Spanish proficiency a huge advantage. 
• Highly organized and can manage multiple moving orders (delivery + catering) simultaneously.

Compensation

• Salary range: $18-$20 plus tips
