About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant General Counsel to provide expert legal counsel and strategic guidance in support of its healthcare programs. The successful candidate will be a key advisor on a range of complex legal, regulatory, and policy matters, particularly those related to Medicaid eligibility, the Affordable Care Act, and other federal and state healthcare initiatives. This role involves interpreting and applying a variety of statutes and regulations, analyzing legal issues, and developing practical solutions to support the company's operations and policy objectives. The Assistant General Counsel will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating legal documents, as well as monitoring and ensuring compliance with evolving healthcare requirements. Applicants for the Assistant General Counsel position at the company must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, be a member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar, and have at least 3 years' of professional legal experience. The role requires a strong background in legal research, analysis, and writing, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in healthcare law, administrative law, or government legal services is preferred, along with a deep understanding of Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and public health insurance programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising on complex legal matters, drafting legal documents, and managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to public service and advancing equitable access to healthcare programs is essential.
