About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Med-Surg / Neuro Unit – South Carolina Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Team nursing approach, 6-7:1 patient ratio, must work 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period, holiday rotation with staff Highlights:

• 30-bed Neurology Med-Surg unit at a 313-bed acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center
• Team nursing model with dedicated unit techs and supportive charge nurse coverage
• Current unit renovations underway with expansion planned
• EMR system: Meditech
• Part of a facility offering specialized services including burn care, breast care, and robotic surgery
• May float to similar units based on facility needs

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license in South Carolina (or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be obtained upon hire)
• Med-Surg and/or Neuro experience preferred
• Ability to perform hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reporting
