About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Advanced skills needed. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. Unit is a 30-bed unit when fully opened, currently operating with 18 beds due to renovations. Patient ratios are 6-7:1. Unit follows a team nursing approach with techs available on the unit. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries on day shift. There is an emphasis on having a free charge nurse to support the team. Type of equipment is standard for medical-surgical units. Documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requires the ability to work 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period. Floating policy requires staff to float to similar units as needed. Patient experience requirements include performing hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reports. The Facility has various specialized services.
