Job Description The Tool Crib Tech receives, stores, sets up kits, and issues hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment used in manufacturing processes. What will my responsibilities include? Assembles kits of tools for specific jobs according to instructions Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory from the tooling lead Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors Delivers tools or equipment to workers Marks and identifies tools and equipment Maintains order and cleanliness of tool crib Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures Performs other duties as assigned What key skills and experience do I need? Strong attention to detail Able to multi-task and follow shifting priorities under deadlines and time-sensitive conditions Deals effectively with multiple internal customers’ needs simultaneously. Self-motivated Strong organizational skills Qualifications: Preferred: High school diploma Basic MS Access, Excel, and keyboarding skills Perform mathematical calculations using a calculator and a good understanding of the American standard decimal and fraction system Physical Demands: Lifting up to 40 pounds repetitively Climbing ladders up to 3 feet Standing and walking throughout the workday The Tool Crib Tech works in the machine shop environment throughout the workday; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and vapor from coolant, etc. Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives, and other chemicalsmay occur Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
