Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) registered nurse position located in a clinical setting. This role involves providing patient care to post-cardiac procedure patients, such as heart caths, ablations, and pacemaker insertions, along with managing complex cardiac conditions including A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, and behavioral health issues. The role requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills, along with proficiency in clinical procedures and telemetry interpretation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour days shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); two years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience, including at least one travel assignment; recent Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) charting experience (will require a checkoff class); experience with post-cardiac procedures, telemetry interpretation, drip management, central line care, and detox/CIWA protocol; strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma level II settings, experience with inpatient PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, and CBI/renal biopsy procedures
• Float: First to float within skillset; cross-campus float possible with 2-hour notice; mid-shift float within same campus
• On Call/Call Back Requirement: Not applicable
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule; every other holiday
• Interview Days: Monday through Friday
• Interview Types: MSP Interview
