Created/Revised Date : May 13, 2026 Anticipated Closing Date : May 31, 2026 Job Title : Trial Attorney Location : San Diego, CA Salary Pay Range and Other Compensation: $125,000 to $200,000 annually Employment Type : Full-Time | Direct Hire FLSA Status : Exempt Schedule : Hybrid About the Role: We are seeking a Trial Attorney to join a fast-paced legal team handling unlawful detainer actions in California state courts. This role is ideal for a driven attorney who thrives in a litigation-focused environment and is comfortable managing a high-volume caseload while providing strategic legal guidance to clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts Defend and conduct depositions Provide legal advice through phone consultations by assessing facts and legal issues Respond to client inquiries and maintain strong client relationships Collaborate with legal staff to prepare motions, pleadings, stipulations, and other trial-related documents Propound and respond to discovery, including written discovery and depositions Prepare for and handle court appearances multiple days per week Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree and active California Bar license 1 year of trial experience or courtroom experience Strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills Knowledge of trial procedures, motion practice, and evidentiary rules Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Willingness to appear in court multiple days per week Knowledge of unlawful detainer law preferred Jury trial experience preferred Familiarity with the rental housing industry preferred Benefits : Competitive compensation package based on experience Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive and collaborative work environment Disclaimer : The compensation and benefits information in this posting represent a good faith and reasonable estimate of what it might pay for this position.
