Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities for a leading healthcare organization. This position is responsible for identifying sourcing opportunities, supporting supplier contract negotiations, and analyzing purchasing strategies to maximize value and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with experience in strategic sourcing, contracting, and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supplier contract negotiations, development of requests for proposals (RFPs), and implementation and administration of supplier agreements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, group purchasing organizations, and other institutions to identify strategic sourcing and spend aggregation opportunities.
• Monitor supply markets, conduct market intelligence, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to support sourcing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, procurement guidelines, and organizational policies while supporting eProcurement and electronic catalog solutions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities, improve supplier relationships, and maximize contract value.
• Conduct complex financial analyses, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Lease vs. Buy, and Economic Value Models, while calculating and reporting actual and projected sourcing savings.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, healthcare, or a business-related field required.
• Advanced degree in business, management, hospital administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and contracting required, preferably within supply chain management, procurement, or materials management.
• Experience within an academic or healthcare environment preferred, including at least three years leading contracting, supply chain management, or materials management activities.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier contract administration, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Experience with financial modeling, spend analysis, and sourcing savings calculations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Results-oriented, decisive, innovative, and customer-focused professional with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
