SUMMARY: Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Medical Centers' Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• NYS RN License Required
• Accredited School of Nursing Graduate
• 1 Year Specialized Experience Required
• BLS and ACLS Required, CCRN/CSC Preferred

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
