Maintenance Helper (Plastic Injection Molding Industry) - Temp-to-Hire

$22/hour

Swing shift: Monday - Friday 3:00PM-11:30PM

Job Overview:


We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Helper to join our team at a plastic injection molding company specializing in the production of roof and foundation vents. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with room for growth, offering $22 per hour. The ideal candidate will have mechanical skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our equipment and facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines, conveyors, and other production equipment.
- Support the setup, installation, and removal of molds for production.
- Perform general facility repairs (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
- Troubleshoot and assist in resolving machine malfunctions.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain detailed logs.
- Keep tools, parts, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Help maintain parts inventory and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and parts (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with injection molding or manufacturing environments (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
