A growing property insurance organization is seeking an Agency Underwriter to join its underwriting team. This role serves as a key point of contact for agency partners, providing guidance on underwriting decisions, company guidelines, policy changes, billing inquiries, and risk eligibility. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a high-volume workload, and is committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining underwriting accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary contact for agency partners regarding underwriting questions, policy changes, endorsements, billing inquiries, and documentation requirements. Review and evaluate new business submissions, reinstatement requests, endorsements, and policy changes. Apply underwriting guidelines to assess risk eligibility and determine appropriate actions. Manage assigned workload while meeting service level and production expectations. Provide professional and timely support through phone and email communication. Handle high-volume workflows while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking when evaluating underwriting requests. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of Property & Casualty underwriting, insurance agency, or insurance operations experience. Active Florida 4-40, 2-20, or 20-44 insurance license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn multiple software platforms.
