Physician Assistant (PA) - Otolaryngology - Per Diem

This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego. JOB SUMMARY The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant functions as an advanced practice provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree Completion of a Physician Assistant Program Current California Physician Assistant license Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications (within 1 year of employment) Medicare Billing number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) (Must obtain within 6 months of employment) Certification: Physician Assistant, National Commission (w/in 1 year of employment) Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services Successfully complete the requirements of the PA Practice Agreement for the assigned division PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two years of experience in a direct clinical care position with emphasis in specialty area Experience in specialty area as a Physician Assistant Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills Bilingual The expected hiring range for this position is $61.30 to $84.29 Children’s Specialists of San Diego is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
