Quality EngineerRaytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has been a technology development and manufacturing leader of infrared systems for over 70 years, and it continues to be one of the industry stakeholders in the production of high-tech vision products for a variety of space, tactical and commercial applications. RVS is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (QE) to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout proposal and program life cycle with our Focal Planes Operations group.This position is an onsite role located in Goleta, CA.What You Will Do:Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirementsImplement quality engineering responsibilities as a member of a program Integrated Product Team (IPT)Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of the program implementationEnsure quality engineering engagement in program development, design and build, including the transition of design to productionAid multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resourcesComplete Internal First Article Inspections (FAIs)Provide program performance data utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metricsMaintain positive relationships with program administration, cross-functional program stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and government representatives.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and Two (2) years of engineering experience.Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations with working knowledge of business strategic planning and proposal, engineering development, material and service acquisition, production, test, product acceptance and post-delivery assistance.Experience in Quality Management Systems IS0 9001, AS9100.Working experience of Quality Requirements and Standards.Working experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems, and resources.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
