Corporate Accountant

A well-established commercial real estate organization is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join its accounting team in Central New Jersey. This position offers the opportunity to work within a stable and respected real estate business, supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions of the organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Assist with cash management activities Support budgeting and forecasting processes Work with external auditors and tax advisors as required Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures Assist with process improvements and ad hoc financial projects Support the wider accounting team with day-to-day accounting activities Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience Commercial real estate, property management, or real estate industry experience preferred Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CPA qualification or progress toward certification is advantageous but not required Next Steps For confidential consideration, contact Kenton at HireIQ. #J-18808-Ljbffr
