Radiation Therapist (Outpatient) – Contract

Duration: 15 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8s | 1st shift (8-hour days)
Pay Rate: $75 – $77/hr
Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,000 – $3,080/week (40 hrs/week)

Job Summary

Administer prescribed ionizing radiation treatments to outpatient oncology patients under physician direction. Ensure accurate treatment delivery, patient safety, and proper documentation throughout the radiation therapy process.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Radiation Therapy experience required

• Experience in outpatient or hospital-based radiation oncology preferred

• Ability to deliver accurate, safe radiation treatment per physician prescription

• Strong patient care and communication skills in oncology setting

Credentials

• ARRT (RT) – Radiation Therapy certification – Required

• Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (RTT/TRT) – Required

• BLS (CPR) – Preferred

• Fluoroscopy Permit (CA) – Preferred (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver daily prescribed radiation dose to patients

• Verify prescriptions, imaging charts, and patient identity

• Position patients using immobilization devices and treatment plans

• Monitor patients for reactions and complications

• Maintain accurate treatment records and chart documentation

• Support patient education and treatment explanations

• Ensure radiation safety compliance for patients and staff
