Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Temporary Payroll Specialist to support a team in Spartanburg, SC or Charlotte, NC This is a full time, temporary 7 month assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience with ADP Workforce now and 5+ years of multi state payroll experience. Responsibilities: Process payroll accurately and timely for a large, multi-state employee population Support payroll activities for a workforce of more than 1,700 employees Review payroll data to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Maintain payroll records and protect confidential employee information Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and tax-related issues Partner closely with HR, benefits, and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations Follow established payroll procedures and documentation while identifying opportunities for process improvement Prioritize multiple deadlines and workloads in a fast-paced environment Assist with payroll-related reporting, audits, and compliance activities Contribute positively to a collaborative team culture and support departmental goals Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience Expereince with ADP Workforce now Strong understanding of payroll taxation, including federal and state requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Multi-State Payroll Experience Background supporting large organizations with complex payroll structures.
