Activities Coordinator - Memory Care

We are seeking passionate and skilled Life Enrichment Director with expertise in dementia care to join our team and make a positive impact on our residents' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement individualized recreational therapy programs tailored to residents with dementia and other cognitive impairments

- Facilitate a variety of engaging activities that promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being

- Assess residents' needs and interests to create personalized activity plans

- Collaborate with care team members to ensure activities align with residents' health goals and safety protocols

- Monitor and document residents' participation and progress in activities

- Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages social interaction and independence

- Educate staff and family members about the benefits of recreational therapy and ways to support residents' engagement

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience working with seniors, particularly those with dementia or memory impairments

- Strong knowledge of dementia care principles and therapeutic activity planning

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to assess individual needs and adapt activities accordingly

- Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to engaging residents

- Certification in Recreational Therapy (preferred but not required)
