TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar setting is required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS required; ONS, BMTCN, and OCN certifications preferred. Must-Have: - Own stethoscope is required. - Previous oncology clinic experience is preferred but acute oncology/hematology experience will be considered. - Clinic accepts first-time travelers. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly result in a cancellation. Nurses will room patients and perform phlebotomy and central line care. They will assist with bone marrow biopsies, vaccinations, EKGs, and phone triage. Nurses will facilitate patient scheduling for infusions and provide patient education. They may work with both malignant and non-malignant hematology teams. Chemotherapy and infusions are not performed in this setting. Nurses will provide case management and patient assessments. Manual differentials are conducted by lab personnel, not by nursing staff. The patient population consists of adults with hematological conditions. Preferred skills include accessing and managing ports and recognizing abnormal lab values. Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams such as pharmacy and social services. Nurses will handle a daily census of approximately 70 clinic visits. Parking and additional logistics will be addressed on an individual basis.
