Number of Beds 36 Bed Level 3 NICU
Number of Staff Type of staff: Day Shift 2 Respiratory Therapists Night Shift 2 Respiratory Therapists
Patient Ratios NICU is generally staffed with 2 therapists to cover the 36 bed unit during peak volumes.
Type of equipment - Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide and Vapotherms
EMR Meditech and NeoNotes
Typical hiring profile:
Skill Set Most recruited for: Registered Respiratory Therapists
Must have: Level 3 NICU experience -would consider someone with 3-5 years of Level 2 NICU experience NRP certification
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. STABLE certification
List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Attend high risk deliveries Ventilator management with conventional as well as high frequency oscillatory ventilation Surfactant administration Blood gas acquisition and interpretation Nitric Oxide administration
